In terms of décor, this hotel is pretty ordinary, however, it comes with good facilities that are usually unavailable at this price point.
Walking in, the hotel does not go overboard with decorations, it stays simple, with an elegant bronze interior and basic facilities.

Slightly bigger than the previous, this room has views overlooking the swimming pool below and comes with a sofa bed. It is also slightly more decorated. Cost approximately $22 more than the previous room for just a little more, we say unless you need the sofa bed, you are better off picking the previous.
With windows (street view) 1 single and 1 double bed, 15sqm. Travelling in 3s? Here’s another hotel on our list with 3 beds.
Most of all, Its location is an approximately 15mins walk from the nearest train station (Novena MRT). The hotel is surrounded by a huge variety of eateries by the street, you can also walk to nearby Balestier market for a wider choice. Additionally, for some air condition comfort, eateries inside the malls at Novena.
Overall, Value Hotel Thomson is nothing too fancy. The rooms are simple, decorated with contemporary designs of simple white walls and rich wooden furnished. However, more importantly, it is rated high on cleanliness and comfort. And Value Hotel Thomson also boasts amenities and facilities usually not associated or provided by similar hotels in its price category.

We certainly love hotels with family rooms and this is another one. Although it’s considerably cramped at 18sq.m, on the positive side, this room has a bathtub! Something not many hotels at this price offer.
With golden walls, it certainly looks elegant. Especially the bathroom.
Overall, the hotel receives positive reviews for cleanliness, good service and affordability. Reviews on location are otherwise mixed. Guests have commented positively on the location around it, with good local food, pubs, and convenience stores all within walkable distances. However, nearest train station is 25mins walk away at Paya Lebar Station, which means if one wishes to travel around Singapore, they have to take a bus to the MRT station or taxi.
